Firewood Production and Supply

Aimed at tree, existing and fledgling firewood businesses.  This course will cover; Firewood as a renewable fuel; Sources of timber for firewood; Equipment to handle, produce and deliver firewood; Markets for firewood; Economics of firewood supply.

Cost: £75 + VAT for LandSkills beneficiaries, £150 non-beneficiaries. (price includes all course material, refreshments and lunch). 

The course can be subsidised through the LandSkills programme.  To be eligible for funding you must work in the West Midlands region, be employed or self employed, and spend at least 50% of your time in the primary production in the forestry sector, or be farmers with woodland on your holding, or be gamekeepers with woodland management responsibilities.
