Forestry Area at Turriff Show 2010
Rural Development Initiatives have organised the award winning Forestry Area at the Turriff Show for the past 4 years. The 2010 stand is a partnership between Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS), Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and Scottish Government Rural Payments and Inspectorate Directive (SGRPID), who are collectively known as SEARS (Scotland’s Environmental and Rural Services).
Watch out for entertaining performances about forest life by the Edinburgh Puppet lab. Gerry the Forest Ranger and her furry friends are back again! Listen out for announcements during the Show
Opportunities and information on the wide range of careers available within the industry. Try your hand at operating the forwarder simulator and see if you can beat the clock!
Outdoor demonstration area where you can view a range of forestry planting and processing equipment. Regular displays throughout the day of our mobile sawmill and firewood processor.
