Ignition11
Following the Government’s announcement that the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is to be introduced next year, Greenbuild Expo is delighted to reveal it is hosting Ignition11. Rural Development Initiatives, the organisers of Ignition09, the UK’s first dedicated woodfuel expo, will be working with Greenbuild Expo to hold both events at Manchester Central on 29th & 30th June 2011.
Ignition09 was held in Gateshead in March 2009 and attracted over 1000 visitors and 60 exhibitors. Martin Glynn, director of Rural Development Initiatives, said: “Ignition09 received great feedback from both visitors and exhibitors and an overwhelming call for the event to be repeated, so we are delighted that by working with Greenbuild Expo we are able to do this. At the time of Ignition09, woodfuel was emerging as one the leading technologies to help the UK combat climate change, and with the announcement about the RHI all the signs are that the sector is about to experience a very significant upturn in business. Ignition11, in association with Greenbuild Expo, is an excellent way for visitors to compare the services and products of all the leading suppliers in the market, and for those suppliers to meet potential customers of a high calibre. We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors and exhibitors, old and new, to Ignition11.”
Greenbuild Expo 2011 will be the third sustainable building and refurbishment event taking place at Manchester Central. There will be over 100 free seminars and workshops over the two-day event, including a dedicated Ignition11 programme, covering topics including hotel and leisure refurbishment, renewable energy funding, Code for Sustainable Homes, sustainable cities, innovative technologies and much more.
